DIRECT 2D AND 3D MAMMOGRAPHY
- Direct 2D and 3D digital mammography (Tomosynthesis)
Department equipped with the latest generation 2D and 3D-Tomosynthesis Mammograph, Hologic 3 Dimension, which delivers a very low dose of radiation to the patient and provides very high definition images. The department is headed by Dr Valeria Viterbo, Radiologist, PhD in Oncological Radiology, Senologist since 2002.
Ultrasound 1 and Ultrasound 2
The two departments are equipped with the most innovative and advanced technologies for breast, abdominal, thyroid, musculoskeletal, dermatological/soft tissue and arterial/venous vascular ultrasound.
Ultrasound 1 is equipped with Share Wave Ultrafast for the evaluation of breast lesions, thyroid nodules and for the evaluation of fibrosis, steatosis and liver inflammation; the latest generation 3D breast probe is also used.
The Department employs five radiologists: Dr Valeria Viterbo, Dr Giuseppe Bozzi, Dr Simona Paolotti, Dr Elviro Cesarano and Dr Paola Wiesel. Dr. Valeria Viterbo deals in particular with breast, thyroid and dermatological ultrasound. Dr Giuseppe Bozzi is an expert in abdominal ultrasound and Share-Wave of the liver. Dr Elviro Cesarano performs musculoskeletal ultrasound with great experience. Dr Wiesel is a vascular ultrasound specialist.
Maxillofacial Cone Beam CT, Orthopantomography, One-shot Telecranium
Department equipped with two latest-generation devices for Orthopantomography, Telecranium, Cone Beam CT with small/medium/wide FOV to meet all the requirements of Dentists, Maxillofacial Surgeons, and Otolaryngologists and with multiple software for endodontics, orthodontics, and implantology; a Cephalometric arm with One-Shot Technology is available for performing Telecranium, which is very popular in paediatric medicine and guarantees a radiation exposure time of less than a second. Head of the Department is Dr. Valeria Viterbo, who has dedicated herself to Cone Beam Tc since 2005 and is one of the greatest experts in the sector in the country and internationally, having personally reported and processed over 16,000 CBCTs.
Other departments
- Traditional radiology: here, it is possible to perform all General Radiology examinations rapidly with the latest generation of equipment (direct digital) with measurements of orthopaedic and paediatric interest. The department is headed by Dr Giuseppe Bozzi and Dr Simona Paolotti.
- DEXA bone densitometry: here, we perform densitometry of the lumbar spine, of the femur with and without prosthesis, ultra-distal, total-body densitometry for evaluating body composition and the extent of visceral fat, and automated vertebral morphometry using the DEXA technique. The department is headed by Dr Giuseppe Bozzi and Dr Simona Paolotti.
